XXXIII A.T.I.V. Conference 2018 – La giornata del vetro

We would like to present the annual A.T.I.V. event that will be held in Parma on November 23^rd, 2018 at Santa Elisabetta Congress Centre.

The XXXIII Conference with the title “The Italian Glass Day” will focus on the “Technological development in flat and hollow glass furnaces” and will deal with the main topics concerning furnaces, i.e. the use of refractories for the various types of glass and for the various types of furnace, the designing of furnaces intended also as control, sustainability, consumption, energy saving in furnace operation, filtration systems and treatment solutions, and pertaining regulations.

The day before the Conference, on November 22^nd, there will be a professional development course on the use of fused cast refractories for the various types of glass and furnaces, held by two experts from A.T.I.V. Board of Directors, with the presentation and support by two of the most well-known companies producing refractories.

This year for the first time since the creation of Associazione dei Tecnici Italiani del Vetro (Association of Italian Glass Technologists), we have set up an Award for the best research presentation in the glass sector by a young technologist or researcher under 35 years of age. To this end, we are also accepting topics that lie outside the Conference main focus.

Moreover, we are also offering particular fee reductions when more than two participants from the same company are registered.
